In honor of it, I've been making some cards - however, these weren't all made today - but I am working on more today and will post those a little later.
This one uses a journaling card from the Becky Higgins Project Life Honey edition.
These are quick cards using My Mind's Eye washi tape. The labels were cut with my Cameo and the stamp is from an oldJuliehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02697326873043762797noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1254109937978752047.post-41401665934724451712013-09-27T10:43:00.001-05:002013-09-27T10:43:18.917-05:00Kids Morning Chore ChartMy kids, specifically my 5 year old, have a hard time remembering what they need to do to get ready in the morning. Instead of having to tell them and repeat myself all the time, I made this quick little chart in Microsoft Publisher and so far, it is working great! I used washi tape (love that stuff!) to decorate clothespins for each girl so after they do something, they move their colored Juliehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02697326873043762797noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1254109937978752047.post-53448260204115459532013-09-23T13:31:00.001-05:002013-09-24T13:30:48.135-05:00Project Life beach album using the HSN Dear Lizzy mini kitHi there! I have wanted to share projects with you but my laptop died a few weeks ago and I have been waiting for my hubby to fix it. He wasn't able to so I should be getting a shiny new laptop this week. Yay because I've been in withdrawal! I'm using his computer so please excuse the lack of photo editing on today's post but I was too excited about finishing my mini vacation album not to share Juliehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02697326873043762797noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1254109937978752047.post-49602197194476054522013-09-04T17:06:00.000-05:002013-09-04T17:06:00.126-05:00Project Life | Week 24 & 25I recently got to spend a day with my scrappin' BFF, Amy. I was hoping to get 4 weeks completed but when we get together, we chat too much so I only got 2 weeks done but that's ok. It's progress. I obviously still have some catching up to do but now that my daughter is in school and I only have one home with me, I am hoping to pick up the pace.
Here is Week 24.

It included a week beach vacation with my whole family which was a really special time but I have to admit, I missed my PL supplies. We made lots of wonderful memories though and I have already ordered my photos from it so I can get started on my mini PL album.
I spent a day getting the house back in order when we got back and then I jumped right back Juliehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02697326873043762797noreply@blogger.com8tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1254109937978752047.post-48883035922807041782013-07-30T22:03:00.001-05:002013-07-30T22:07:42.372-05:00Project Life | Week 22 plus my Project Life on the GoWe had a busy week so it was hard to fit in time for scrapbooking but I was able to get it done. Part of what helped me was that I took my supplies with me when my family went out of town for a night to celebrate a new nephew's baptism. I took my things with me and worked on it in the hotel room while my kids slept in the other bed and my hubby watched Harry Potter on TV.
This was my view at Juliehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02697326873043762797noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1254109937978752047.post-87626682870677090612013-07-24T08:58:00.000-05:002013-07-24T14:15:52.093-05:00Project Life | Week 21I've been so busy with all sorts of other crafts lately that I have neglected my Project life album. I miss working on my album but I've enjoyed the other things I've been doing - a last minute 8x8 Shutterfly book for my brother's birthday, a super cute handmade onesie for my new nephew (I will blog about it but I have to tweak some things on it first), my daughter's birthday party, and helping Juliehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02697326873043762797noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1254109937978752047.post-53232552414257221432013-07-19T12:55:00.000-05:002013-07-19T17:52:38.878-05:00Gift Giving | baby shower and giving money as a giftI went to a wedding for a co-worker the other weekend and had such a good time. There was lots of dancing and silliness and a beautiful outdoor (it was a little hot!) wedding for my friend. I knew I was going to give money for the gift but starting at Christmas, I decided that whenever I was giving money, I wanted to do it in a creative way, not just hand over a check or some cash. So this is Juliehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02697326873043762797noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1254109937978752047.post-85279107001571959842013-07-02T08:44:00.004-05:002013-07-02T08:53:02.855-05:00Project Life | May 20-26This week's Project Life page came together a little quicker, even though it was in bits and pieces of time that I managed to squeeze in throughout the week. Whatever helps you get it done, right?!
Now I have a lot of kits - Seafoam, Jade, Blush, Honey, Studio Calico monthly kits (I usually pool all these together) and other random cards from printables and MAMBI collections, etc. When I sit Juliehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02697326873043762797noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1254109937978752047.post-84740542977513148612013-06-30T12:53:00.000-05:002013-06-30T12:53:32.079-05:00Easy Fourth of July decorationsLast year, I started to get some cute Halloween decorations that I placed on my little desk in my entry way. I enjoyed the display so much that I decided to try to change it seasonally and use homemade decorations when I can. I always wanted to do something seasonal on my mantle but that is more daunting to me - I can handle this desk better.
This is my first time with an Independence Day Juliehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02697326873043762797noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1254109937978752047.post-23904089593483945782013-06-28T07:39:00.000-05:002013-06-28T07:39:33.278-05:00Craft Happenings this WeekThere has been lots of crafting in our house this week and that's a good
thing. I'm so glad my girls like to get crafty with me, it makes me
happy to think about what kinds of projects we will make together in the
future. My oldest, who will be turning 5 soon, already likes to make
cards - sometimes she will suggest that I go downstairs to scrapbook and
then she can make cards alongside of Juliehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02697326873043762797noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1254109937978752047.post-61407431482334729382013-06-23T19:30:00.001-05:002013-06-25T13:23:48.181-05:00Project Life | May 13 - 19Last week was super busy but I went to a crop on Friday night and was finally able to get a few pages finished. This page took me longer than I would like and I'm not really sure why - I think I just wasn't feeling it even though I'm satisfied with how it turned out. It's not my favorite but I'm ok with that.
I used mostly the Becky Higgins Project Life Olive core kit with a few other things Juliehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02697326873043762797noreply@blogger.com7tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1254109937978752047.post-4261909369470217792013-06-13T20:42:00.002-05:002013-06-15T14:15:34.082-05:00Project Life | April 29 - May 12 (covers 2 weeks)I'm a few weeks behind but I'm hoping to make up some ground this weekend. This was a fun week to work on because I used Blush cards with new and old embellishments from my stash. I love the girlishness of the Blush collection and it works great for my two kiddos. You will also notice that I combined two weeks here. I didn't have a lot of photos in either week so by combining them, it saves spaceJuliehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02697326873043762797noreply@blogger.com8tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1254109937978752047.post-52352130047109107632013-06-13T13:42:00.001-05:002013-06-13T13:42:40.525-05:00Last Minute Father's Day Craft IdeasFather's Day has snuck up on me this year - for some reason I kept thinking it was another week away. Of course that means I am not prepared. After a quick search of Google and Pinterest, I think I am ready to do a project with the kiddos. If you are in the same boat as me, check out these fun ideas!
Here is a fun fill-in-the-blank Father's Day letter that I think my 2 year old will even be ableJuliehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02697326873043762797noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1254109937978752047.post-55336770196523063672013-06-10T09:04:00.000-05:002013-06-10T09:51:00.292-05:00It's a...Spray Paint PartyMy hubby has had this ugly hand-me-down secretary desk for years, including in college, so it has been beaten up. One of the drawer pulls was broken, it had several scratches plus I hated the color. However, it was functional and since I haven't found the right piece of furniture (in my hubby's budget), it will have to do. I've been wanting to spray paint it for months but finally got around to Juliehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02697326873043762797noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1254109937978752047.post-82440994717743482272013-06-07T07:00:00.000-05:002013-06-07T07:00:01.949-05:00Project Life | April 2013 pagesThis is my second year of doing Project Life and I am doing a much better job of keeping up this year. I think it's because I've figured out my groove and what works for me. I start by making my own planner pages and making a list of all the things I want to include that week: photos, stories, Facebook status updates, etc. Once I have my list, I can figure out what sizes I need for photos and if Juliehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02697326873043762797noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1254109937978752047.post-79423409449906213472013-06-06T10:27:00.001-05:002013-06-06T10:37:58.247-05:00Bedroom Wall ArtFor the longest time, the wall above my bed sat empty because I didn't

seen this idea and this idea on Pinterest and knew they would be
perfect for my bedroom plus it gave me a chance to finally make some
homemade decor. I love how it turned out.

If
you would have told me as a teenager that I was going to be a crafty
mama, I would have laughed. I was never into crafts as a teenager but 14
years ago, I accidentally discovered stamping and then scrapbooking and I've been crafting ever since. For years, I was creating
the traditional 12x12 pages but about 5 years ago, Juliehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02697326873043762797noreply@blogger.com0
